Alti and Craig – romantic farm wedding
Alti and Craig had been dating for many years when they decided that the time had come to officially make Alti Louw, Mrs Lacey. Both being from Richard Bay in Kwazulu Natal and top medical specialists, they had some time to organise certain aspects of their wedding, but then decided that they really needed assistance with bringing all the smaller details of their special day together.
After they had booked their romantic farm wedding venue, the beautiful Rain Farm and had chosen O’Toole Photography as their photographer they called in Timeless Weddings to assist with all the other planning needed. With these two important aspects checked, Timeless Weddings set about organising the balance of requirements.
Onto the details: Alti’s hair was done by Donelle from Style Temptations and the very talented Charelle covered all the make-up requirements for the bridal party as well as the mothers, which I am sure you will agree looked perfect.
Alti had the most beautiful wedding shoes in a shade of dusty pink which completed her gorgeous gown to perfection. Tied to her bouquet was a small framed photograph of her father who had sadly passed away – so even though he was not there in person, he still walked with her down the aisle, with her very proud mother.
The girls arrived at the ceremony like true Princesses in a horse drawn carriage, but when it was time to do the creative shoot and being on a game farm – they were transported around in true African style in a 4×4 game viewing vehicle.
Alti wanted a really elegant yet romantic farm wedding to contrast with the beauty of the African bush and had selected shades of pink as their colour scheme. The decor for the reception was created utilising a combination of silver candelabras on half the tables and beautiful low silver bowls and dinner candles on the other tables.
The main table was beautifully decorated using a selection of silver bowls, dinner candles and crystal holders on silver feet. Pearls were also introduced into all the arrangements and delicately suspended from the candelabra arrangements. The abundance of pink and white flowers arrangements was put together by Sue’s Flowers and the set up was carried out by Timeless Weddings. Designer Decor did a wonderful job of the draping and created the backdrop for this fairy tale set up.
The theme also incorporated butterflies and these were prevalent on the menu’s, order of service fans and the guest names were written on laser cut butterflies attached to their wine glasses. Each of the guests received a beautifully presented favour at their place setting in a silver and white box.
The cake was cut and served immediately after the ceremony and consisted of a two tier cake. This was enhanced by a cake buffet which had delicious cup cakes each with their own individual design on them, macaroons in shades of pink, with pink and white marshmellows.
Alti and Craig, you both have very demanding careers and busy lives, but the evidence of true love on your wedding day was there for all to see, and we know that this day was the foundation for many wonderful years ahead. Thank you for entrusting such an important day to Timeless Weddings – we loved being part of it and bringing your dreams to reality.
