Knysna is one of the Southern Cape coast's best known holiday destinations, situated between lush forests and the shores of the peaceful lagoon - it offers many activities and attractions of a wide variety. The most well known attraction being the Heads - two great sandstone cliffs guarding the mouth of the lagoon which connects the estuary with the sea. A lookout has been erected on the Eastern Head, commanding spectacular views of the lagoon, Leisure Isle and Knysna. The Western Head is a privately owned nature Reserve - Featherbed Bay.
Imagine your ceremony on a very dramatic beach right on the Knysna heads. There are large rocks, the waves lapping the shoreline on one side with a cliff face on the other side of the beach.
After the ceremony in this very breathtaking setting and photographs have been taken - you will be taken on a private cruise on a small boat (6 pax max), which will take you from Leisure Isle across the Lagoon to the other side - a very romantic way of spending your first few hours of marriage. On the cruise you will be served chilled champagne along with the famous Knysna oysters.
The wedding day can end off with a delicious lunch or dinner at an establishment on the water's edge overlooking the Lagoon. Alternatively you may also decide to round off your celebration with a picnic out in the beautiful gardens.
