Imagine getting married on a small island in the middle of the mighty Zambezi river a half a kilometre upstream from the legendary Victoria Falls - a ferocious curtain of water seventeen hundred metres wide that plunges deep into the gorge of the Zambezi below.
We arrange memorable weddings ceremonies on this island in the late afternoon so the bridal couple can then drift off into the sunset on a private boat with sparkling wine to celebrate. It is such a very romantic time of day in Africa.
You will be collected from your hotel/lodge within Vic Falls town and transfer to the jetty site at approximately 4.00pm. You will then board a small pontoon boat and go across to Palm Island for Wedding ceremony. When the bridal party arrives at the island an African Shangaan Choir' come out of the bushes singing and dancing, and they will ask you to follow them to a part of the island which would have been set up especially for your ceremony.
Champagne will be served after ceremony, and you will have the chance to have some amazing photographs taken on the island before boarding the boat again and drifting off into the sunset for a cruise with drinks and snacks. No doubt you will have the opportunity to spot the odd elephant and hippo taking a dip along your cruise, not to mention the incredible bird life along the riverside. Returning to the jetty and your hotel after sunset….
A more magical day we cannot imagine!
